This statement causes people to ask, "What evidence do you
have for such a thing?".
They're basically calling God's Word into question.
So, if we show that the Bible is reliable in categories such as
                                                  ...history,
                                               ...science,
                                            ...medicine,
                                         ...non contradiction,
                                     ...already fulfilled prophecy, etc...
then we can reasonably assume that everything it has to say
about future events can be trusted with the same amount of
accuracy.

"And as it is appointed
unto men once to die, but
after this the judgment:"

(Psalm 119:160)
"Thy word is true from the
beginning: and every one
of thy righteous judgments
endureth for ever."

(Matthew 12:36)
"But I say unto you, That
every idle word that men
shall speak, they shall give
account thereof in the day
of judgment."

(Rom 14:10-12)
"...for we shall all stand
before the judgment seat
of Christ.
For it is written, As I live,

shall bow to me, and every

God.
So then every one of us
shall give account of
himself to God."

(2 Corinthians 5:10-11)
"For we must all appear
before the judgment seat
of Christ; that every one
may receive the things
done in his body, according
to that he hath done,
whether it be good or bad."
